Privacy Policy
Effective August 11, 2026 · Last updated August 11, 2026
SealCare is the mobile app for SEAL Security's human services — our hotline, vacation watch, welfare checks, caretaker requests, and trusted vendors. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what control you have over it.
We wrote this in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, call us and a person will explain it.
The short version
- We collect the information we need to send real people to help you. Nothing more.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or third-party marketing tools in this app.
- The app does not access your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photos.
- You can delete your account and your personal information from inside the app at any time.
Who we are
SealCare is operated by SEAL Security, 1525 Blalock Road, Houston, TX 77080.
For any privacy question, contact us at Info@SealSecurity.com, 713.979.2388, or toll-free at 1.866.949.0895.
What we collect
Information you give us when you create an account
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your home or business address and ZIP code
- Your membership code, issued by SEAL Security
- Your password, which we store only in encrypted (hashed) form — we cannot read it
Information you give us when you request a service
Vacation Watch. Your name, phone number, email, and the address to be watched; your travel dates; and the property details you choose to share — whether lights are left on or timed, whether you have an alarm system and its company and phone number, whether pets are present and where, and any vehicles left at the property including color, year, make and model, license plate, and location. You may also list expected visitors and emergency contacts, plus any additional comments.
Welfare Checks. The name, email, address, and membership code of the person to be checked on, along with your description of the concern. If you invite someone to request welfare checks on your behalf, we store their name and email and a one-time invitation code.
Caretakers and household members. When you invite a caretaker, family member, child, or housekeeper to your account, we collect their name, email, and role, and issue a one-time invitation code.
Service inquiries and membership code requests. Your name, email, phone number, address, and your message.
Information about other people
Several of these services ask for details about people who are not you — expected visitors, emergency contacts, alarm companies, household members, and the subject of a welfare check.
Only share another person's information if you have their permission or a genuine, good-faith concern for their safety. We use that information solely to carry out the service you requested, and we treat it with the same care as your own.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in tokens stored on your device so you stay logged in. They are removed when you sign out or delete your account.
- One-time verification codes sent to your email when you sign up or reset your password. These expire shortly after they are issued.
- Basic server logs — request times, error records, and similar technical data used to keep the service running and secure.
The app contains no advertising identifiers, no analytics SDKs, and no social media trackers.
How we use it
We use your information only to:
- Verify who you are and keep your account secure
- Connect you to the SEAL Security hotline and identify your property when you call
- Carry out the services you request — watching your home, performing a welfare check, arranging a caretaker
- Respond to your inquiries
- Send transactional messages such as verification codes and password resets
- Keep the service working, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse
- Meet legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
SEAL Security personnel and dispatched responders, so they can perform the service you asked for.
Service providers who operate our infrastructure, under contracts limiting them to that purpose:
- Supabase — hosts our application database
- Railway — runs our application servers
- Google — delivers our verification and notification email
- Expo — delivers app updates
Emergency services or authorities, if there is an imminent risk to someone's safety, or when required by law.
A successor entity, if SEAL Security is ever sold or merged. You would be notified before your information became subject to a different policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. Service records — vacation watch requests, welfare checks — are kept as long as needed to provide the service and to maintain a record of the work performed, then deleted or anonymized.
When you delete your account, we remove your profile, your membership access, and your service history from our active systems. Backups are overwritten on a rolling 7-day schedule. We may retain a minimal record where the law requires it.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app:
Account → Delete Account
We will ask you to confirm and to re-enter your password. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
If your account has caretakers, family members, or children attached to it, those accounts are removed along with yours — the confirmation screen tells you exactly who that affects before you continue. A housekeeper who also works for another SEAL household keeps their account and is simply unlinked from yours.
You may also ask us to delete your account by contacting Info@SealSecurity.com.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you may ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your information
- Provide a copy in a portable format
Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and may appeal a decision by writing to Info@SealSecurity.com. California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them — and note that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there. Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights.
To exercise any of these, contact Info@SealSecurity.com. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the time the law allows.
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed and are not readable by us or our staff. Access to member information is limited to SEAL Security personnel who need it to do their jobs. Sign-in sessions can be revoked, and all of your sessions are invalidated the moment your account is deleted.
No system is perfectly secure, but we treat the information you give us as what it is: details about your home, your travel, and the people you care about.
Age requirement
SealCare is intended for people aged 13 and older. You must be at least 13 to have a SealCare account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
This applies to household members too. If you are an account holder adding a caretaker, family member, child, or housekeeper to your account, that person must also be at least 13. By inviting them, you confirm they meet that requirement and that you have their permission — or, if they are between 13 and 17, that you consent on their behalf as their parent or guardian.
If you believe someone under 13 has created an account or had one created for them, contact Info@SealSecurity.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will update the date above and notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
